Hello, My name is Gloria Simoneau. I have been teaching for approximately 27 years in the City of Providence. I have previously taught Grade 4 for six years, Self-Contained Special Education Mild/Moderate for six years, and most recently Self-Contained Special Education for students with Moderate to Profound Disabilities for fifteen years here at Pleasant View School.
I was born and raised in the City of Providence and lived there until my family moved to Johnston when I went to middle school. I feel that I have gotten an excellent education when I attended school here in Providence. I attended Rhode Island College and graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education and Special Education. I continued my education and received a M.Ed. from Providence College in Education and in Special Education.
I have been married to my husband Tony for 37 years and have two grown children, Cherie and Antonio. Recently, we adopted a dog from the animal shelter and her name is Keesha. She is a Shish Tzsu and we love having her in our family.
I would like you to know that I truly love teaching children. It is a life-long passion and I feel that it is a honor and a priviledge to be able to come to work and educate your children.
I look forward to another wonderful and productive year here at Pleasant View School. If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to come and visit our classroom, please feel free to contact me and don't forget to come back to my web page to keep up to date about what is happening here at Pleasant View and in my classroom.
Have a great day!
Gloria
